Planning process

How Autocabsin Storage moves from first measure on Dragarbrunnsgatan to a labelled cupboard that still works after winter coats arrive.

Site measure and photo log

We start in the apartment with a tape, laser, and phone photos of every cupboard interior. Odd angles in Fjärdingen rooms are sketched by hand so later drawings do not assume square corners.

Student clients who cannot meet midday can send a video walkthrough first; we still visit once before any joinery is ordered.

Inventory of what must stay

Rather than emptying everything into cardboard, we list keepers: appliances under warranty, heirloom jars, and tools that must remain accessible during exams.

Items leaving the home are noted separately so the new plan is not sized for clutter that will not return.

Draft ledger and options

Clients receive a short ledger with two or three layout options, each with SEK bands for fittings. We highlight which option suits lease rules versus owner-occupied walls.

Feedback is collected by email or a studio visit; we revise the chosen option once before hardware is locked.

Specification and carpenter handoff

Approved drawings include shelf spacing, hinge sides, and finish notes. When a local carpenter installs carcasses, we walk the site once with them to confirm clearances.

If the household installs freestanding units themselves, we provide a plain shopping list with dimensions and quantity counts.

Handover and seasonal check

Handover includes the shelf map, label set, and a brief walkthrough of rotation zones. A follow-up after the first winter is optional and billed as a short consultation between 1 500 and 2 800 SEK.
